With a background in movement as a competitive gymnast and dancer, Alison Ives Marra felt an instant connection to yoga when she discovered the practice during her college years. She found yoga to be a stimulating and unique form of movement that allowed her to breathe and de-stress. Seizing the opportunity to enhance her knowledge of the practice, the Seattle native earned her Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification in 2007 from CorePower Yoga. In 2012, Alison got her E-RYT status and has led several 200-hour yoga teacher trainings.
Building on her yoga background, Alison became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT) to further her education and expertise. She also earned Barre Method, Indoor Cycling, and Yoga Sculpt certifications along the way.
With a diverse fitness background, Alison combines various fitness modalities to create challenging, effective, and well-rounded workouts. In studios, Alison guides students through these classes, but she recognized a need to reach busy people that cannot make it to the studio or gym. She created A.I.M. Health to make her services accessible to anyone that wants to learn or continue to live a healthy and happy life.
